Marion Walsh Clayworks

Quirky Steampunk and Sci-fi inspired Studio Pottery

Meet the Artist

I am a French-born Lancashire-based ceramic artist who work from my home studio in Accrington.

I have always been passionate about arts and crafts. Clay is my favourite medium due to its versatility.

I enjoy experimenting with texture and pattern and use a variety of items ranging from lace, screws, cogs and computer components to create unique quirky steampunk and sci-fi designs which would be at home in either a traditional or modern decor.

The juxtaposition of glazed and bare clay gives an extra dimension to my slab-formed functional ware and delightfully detailed sculptural work.

I'm part of the Northern Potter Association (West) and the Pendle Artists. I've taken part in several exhibitions over the last few years, namely at the Platform Gallery - Clitheroe,  Olchon's Gallery - Ramsbottom, Lytham Heritage Centre - Lytham St Anne's, the Pendle Heritage Centre - Barrowford, Astley Hall - Chorley.

I sell online and I occasionally attend markets and fairs.I make other style items, but my steampunk and sci-fi range is all together under the same tab.

I also teach pottery, please click on the 'Workshops' button below for information. It will take you to my other company Marion Walsh Artworks.
